No weekends or evenings are required. The applicant must possess maturity, a great attitude, and an excellent attendance record. In addition the applicant must be proficient with computers and have outstanding communication skills. Experience with check-in/check-out, scheduling, confirmations, insurance verification, filing, referrals, authorizations, and scanning is a plus.

This position may require some driving and heavy lifting.

  • Screening phone calls and routing to correct staff members

  • Working incoming referral faxes, which includes creating the patient, entering insurance, and uploading the documents to the correct directory

  • Scheduling patients for office visits.

  • Checking out patients

GI Associates of Tallahassee, a well-established and respected gastroenterology practice serving Tallahassee and the surrounding area for nearly 20 years, is seeking a full-time licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to serve patients in our community. Working in tandem with the MD and ARNP on staff, the ideal candidate will thrive in a busy work environment while being challenged by the diversity of our patient population.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:The ARNP or PA hired will see patients for a wide variety of GI-related diagnoses. The ARNP or PA will be expected to critically assess patients by completing office visits, reviewing records, completing HPIs, ordering and reviewing laboratory tests, radiology exams/procedures, in addition to ordering specific GI related procedures in collaboration with the supervising MD. Thorough and timely communication with the collaborating MD, referring providers, and other specialists is critical and is an expectation of the position.

This is a full-time position that requires no call. The position will provide a competitive salary, a full array of benefits, paid time off, a continuing education allowance, and a bonus incentive program.

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
